Eulogies Continue for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Face a Security Hold.

Over a fortnight following the shocking loss of renowned film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community persist in remembering the pair.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Posting on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, stated he only now felt prepared to express about his personal sorrow.

"Enough time has gone by that I can at last express my sorrow into words," shared Elwes, adding that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started passing more hours together I realized this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor posted behind-the-scenes footage from the production, adding that he could not remember "one day without mirth".

"The film is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Principles that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the perfect person to direct it," Elwes continued.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, noting: "To say that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He concluded with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Colleague and Comrade

In a separate tribute, revered director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved being with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the protagonist.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with the cast, and he understood the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Restricted

Recently, a Los Angeles court official decided to prevent the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, at the request from the LAPD.

A judicial mandate put a restriction on the investigation to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, evidence and photographs" pertaining to the ongoing investigation.

The Medical Examiner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the consequence of foul play, with a record citing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Response and Criticism

After the killings, public individuals expressed varying reactions.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, making provocative statements that were widely condemned by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his criticism to the critics last week. Talking on his show, Rogan labeled the statements as "disturbing" and suggested they revealed a troubling deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan concluded by remarking that an associate could have stepped in when the choice to weigh in on the death was made.
