Chiefs State They Are Aware of Alleged Abuse Allegations Involving Player Rashee Rice
The NFL franchise released a comment on Wednesday evening confirming they are aware of domestic violence allegations circulated in social media posts by a ex-partner of player Rashee Rice and were in contact with the NFL.
The team did not mention Rice by name in their announcement and stated they would have “no further comment at this time”.

The woman, who likewise did not name the athlete by name, posted a series of photos on social media that seemed to depict signs of physical abuse. Jones stated the individual in question was the parent of her kids, and reports indicate she has two children with Rice, whom the Chiefs selected in the 2023 draft.

No police reports were available in Overland Park, Kansas where the incident is said to have taken place.
Rice's Recent Legal Issues
Rice was absent for the initial part of this NFL campaign due to an NFL suspension for his involvement in instigating a crash on a Texas roadway that left several individuals injured. He was given 30 days in jail and five years’ probation after entering a guilty plea to serious offenses.
On the field, Rice concluded the year with 53 catches for 571 yards and five TDs as the Kansas City finished 6-11 and failed to qualify for the postseason for the first time in a ten-year span.
