Barça Ready for First Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday

The club confirmed their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host Athletic Bilbao in domestic competition over two years following their departure to allow renovations to start.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. When completed, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. Officials confirmed finished work included an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.

Stadium Testing

Barça organized an open training session inside the stadium earlier this month. They mentioned they were hoping for permission from Uefa to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt in December in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
